Original intention was to create six illustrations, four of which are the following paintings, the other two being pencil renders. One of those times where you feel like you have plenty of time - none of it being wasted, until you have no time left. So I shall be doing them post-scholarly, and just for myself. Which sucks, because my grade may suffer a bit for it - but I do feel like my work this time had a whole level of planning behind it which I hadn't achieved before. Now the issue is to manage time enough so the planning pays off better.
Read the full post...Finished the Maya version of my Nautilus to a level where I'm happy to hand it in, but I will polish it a bit more before I animate the thing. not happy with the bump map and why some textures aren't showing properly (numbers on the rudder aren't showing in these renders for example).

Read the full post...Have to apologise again for the lack of updates, basically just been focused on animation during my art time and actually having a holiday when I'm not. I had done a bunch in the past week though and just didn't update, but that's below. Struggling with enjoying this one, but that probably means I have to persist with getting it right and finally liking the end result. Damn rock textures!
